One of UpGroup’s most iconic pieces, Sholapour Centerpiece was designed by Michele de Lucchi in the ’80s and is part of the permament exhibition at the MOMA in New York.
Inspired by the design of the Solapuri Chaddar, traditional Indian cotton linens, this sculpture was designer Michele De Lucchi who has drawn upon those intricate patterns reproducing them in stunning marble. Composed of several geometric elements resting on a large marble disc, it features a large white rimmed black circle surmounted by a black circular section with a red inverted cone and a striped cylinder with a large green rim. To add a dramatic visual impact, three black spikes boldly extend from each side.
From white Carrara and green Alpi to red Bilbao, black Portoro and black Belgio, this abstract sculpture is an iconic decorative piece of highest quality and artistic value.
Made to order in Italy.
